Theatre
at Union
has
a two-part
mission:
to provide
a solid
curriculum
of courses
leading
to a
major
in the
field
and
to offer
a production
schedule
that
trains
participants
while
entertaining
the
audience.
The unique aspect of the curriculum
for a major in theatre lies in the two-semester capstone course. Each
theatre major must design and direct a full-length play as part of
the regular theatre season. It is a trial-by-fire that produces theatre
graduates of the finest caliber.
The
talent
of the
participants
is the
only
link
between
productions
and
the
curriculum.
Auditions
for
the
shows
are
open
to all
Union
College
students
regardless
of major.
Talent
wins
a place
at the
table;
commitment,
discipline,
and
compassion
keep
the
participant
at the
table.
