Master’s Degree Program

  • Personal statement of goals and objectives
  • Official, sealed transcripts from all colleges and universities attended

Please note: Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work completed must be sent directly to Union College’s Office of Graduate Studies by the institutions where the credits and degrees were earned. Those institutions may send transcripts to the following address:

Union College
Office of Graduate Studies
310 College St.
Campus Box D-6
Barbourville, KY 40906

Criteria for initial admission into the master’s program include a major or minor in psychology (a minimum of 12 hours of course work in undergraduate psychology may be considered), and a 3.0 undergraduate grade point average.

You may still apply for admission if your GPA is less than 3.0. The psychology faculty recognizes that students do not always demonstrate their potential for professional success through such traditional criteria. We seek promising students from all backgrounds who will enhance our program and, later, professional psychology. High test scores and grades do not guarantee acceptance, and students whose lower scores are offset by other exceptional qualifications may be admitted. In any case, all applications must be complete (with test scores, letters, and transcripts) before students may be admitted into coursework.
