UC INSTITUTES provides a relaxed atmosphere for professional training and renewal, for leadership retreats, for teaching and staging the arts, for debate on regional issues and public policy formation, for wilderness and adventure retreats, and for community outreach. The opportunities are not just limited to campus travel programs will take you throughout Appalachia and beyond.
Unions new lake-side suites provide air-conditioned residence facilities featuring computer access in all rooms, lounges, decks and patios all a short stroll from meetings and meals in the Patridge Campus Center. Accommodations include eight suites, each with six private rooms, a full kitchen, lounge and laundry.

The Myrtle Cole Minton Dining Hall is located
on the lower level of the Patridge Campus Center. Unions food
services are provided by Pioneer
Food Services.
Suggestions, questions, and concerns related to food service should be brought to the Food Service Director, who can be contacted at (606) 546-1255.
Pioneer also offers a range of selections
including travel lunches, catered meals and special menus for any
occasion.
Accommodations
Union can host nearly 250 guests during the summer months. Eight newly constructed lake-side suites feature full kitchens and living areas, decks/patios, and six private sleeping rooms. Computer internet access, laundry facilities and full linen service are available. There are also 150 rooms in our traditional residence halls.
Transportation
Group transportation can be arranged through the College motorpool.
Campus Facilities
Unions fitness facilities provide opportunities for relaxation and maintenance of personal exercise routines after a day of conference sessions. Swim in our heated indoor pool, workout in our fitness rooms, or take advantage of our fitness trail with workout stations. Take advantage of our pre- and post-conference outdoor activities by contacting our Director of Outdoor Programming through GATEWAYS.
