How can I afford a private education?
A Union education costs money--most things that are valuable usually do. At Union, we are committed to providing the best value for your educational investment.
- Approximately 98 percent of our undergraduate students receive
financial aid.
- There are no out-of-state fees.
- During the 2009-10 academic year, tuition, room and board is under $25,000.
- Over $4.8 million is awarded annually for student aid.
- Institutional scholarships and grants range from $500 to full
tuition.
Undergraduate Student Expenses*
In planning to attend Union College, a student should expect the following typical expenses for an academic year:
- Tuition and general expenses $18,260
- Room and board $5,950
- Books and supplies $1,200
In addition, allowance should be added to these figures for personal expenses, medical insurance, transportation, and extra charges for special courses.
Union requires only the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and uses the results of this application to award federal, state, and institutional grants and scholarships.
