Blarney Castle known for the famous, "Blarney Stone" or the Stone of Eloquence. Visitors to the castle have the opportunity to climb the winding steps to the top and kiss the Blarney Stone. As the legend goes, to kiss the stone is to be blessed with the gift of eloquence…but that could be just Blarney!

A Folk Park near Bunratty Castle shows a restored cottage scene from early Ireland. Many early homes in Ireland utilized the thatch roof design. Although less common, thatch roofs are still popular for historic homes. However, the once common cottage roof design has become rather expensive to install and maintain.

Each community and town in Ireland was a unique and exciting discovery. Above, a restored turn-of-the-century Irish village comes to life with visitors at the Bunratty Castle Folk Park.
