Homecoming 09 Schedule Now Online, Plus Our Foray into the Twitter-verse

Welcome to the summer’s alumni e-newsletter! We’ve been busy
planning for Homecoming 2009, adding to our alumni Facebook
fan page and learning how to “tweet.”

Preparations for Homecoming are moving at a rapid pace. So far, we’ve
been able to recruit a wonderful list of class agents for the reunion years
(those years ending in 4s and 9s), create a great schedule with lots of
alumni input, help our students with much-needed service projects,
and negotiate very reasonable hotel rates for our guests. The print
version of our schedule will arrive in your mailboxes soon. In the
meantime, you’ll find an online version on the Homecoming ’09 Web site.

Homecoming 2009 - College Road Trip: CU @ UC!

This year’s homecoming theme, created by student Austin Maples,
will tempt you to pack your bags, hit the road, turn up the music
and enjoy a drive back to your alma mater. As you might expect,
planning for Homecoming 2009 began as soon as Homecoming
2008 ended. Your favorite events are still on the agenda,
and new ones have been added. In addition to the golf outing,
the Athletic Breakfast, the banquet and more, we’re also bringing
back (by popular demand!) Meet U at Tent City.

Homecoming Gives Alumni a Chance to Serve

Because alumni are central to Union’s long history of service to others, homecoming weekend will include two opportunities for you to give back: Career Closet donations and a Vintage T-Shirt Auction.
