Athletics has a long and rich history at Union College. With its roots beginning in 1905 when a women’s basketball team was formed, Bulldog and Lady Bulldog athletics is entering its second century.

Union offers a wide variety of intercollegiate athletics, sponsoring 21 different programs as well as a cheerleading squad. Union competes in baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s cross country, cycling, football, men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s soccer, softball, men’s and women’s swimming, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s track and field (indoor and outdoor) and volleyball.

A member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Union is also a member of the Appalachian Athletic Conference and the Mid-South Conference (football only.)
