Union College welcomed KCEOC Community Action's
Early Head Start and Head Start teachers to campus on July 26 and
27 for the organization's pre-service training. 225 teachers from
the six-county area of Knox, Clay, Harlan, Rockcastle, Laurel and
Jackson Counties were on campus to receive their Kentucky Division
of Child Care's Kids Now Initiative required in-service hours.
KCEOC's Executive Director Paul D. Dole said,
"Union always works with us providing ample enough space allowing
us to train all our teaching staff. The campus is centrally located
in our service area which makes it a great location for our pre-service."
The group will be back to campus to complete their
training in August. KCEOC Community Action serves just over 1000
area children through Head Start and Early Head Start.
