$1000 Union College Scholarship
Up For Grabs at Local College Prep Workshop
Union College will be giving away a $1000 scholarship
next week at a college prep workshop scheduled to be held at Knox
Central High School. The workshop, Applying To College - 101, is
for Knox Central juniors and seniors and their parents who are beginning
to prepare for the college admissions process.
The workshop is designed to help answer questions about how and
when to apply for college admission and how to apply for financial
aid. Workshop leaders will also talk about taking the ACT and provide
students and their parents with information about KEES money, FASFA
forms and all available state, federal and institutional grants.
The workshop will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2005 from 5:00
p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria at Knox Central High School. Dinner
is being provided by the Knox Central High School Youth Service
Center. There will be many door prizes available for those who attend
the workshop, including a $1,000 scholarship to Union College.
This program is being co-sponsored by Union College and Knox Central
High School Youth Service Center.
