On March 30, 2006, Dr. Bradley will reach a milestone that most of us can only hope for. He will turn 100 years old!
Dr. Bradley accepted a position with Union College in 1947. Over the course of the next 27 years, he published the book: Union College 1879-1954, served as Curator of the Lincoln Library Collection at Union College and was named to the Outstanding Educators of America in 1972. Before retiring from Union, he held the position of Head of the History and Political Science Departments and Chairman of the Union College Division of Social Studies. To this day, there exists an annual scholarship; the "Dr. Erwin S. Bradley History Award." This scholarship is awarded to an upper class history major that has the highest scholastic average in over-all grades in history earned at Union College.
Dr. Bradley will celebrate this momentous occasion with his family and friends at his home in Chambersburg, Penn. Birthday wishes can be sent to: Dr. Erwin S. Bradley, Minno Village, 2075 Scotland Avenue – 620-A, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
