Local Residents Help Bring Nationally
Recognized Musicians to Union College

When Anne and Paul Pederson of Barbourville saw The Lascivious Biddies perform at The American Girl Place as part of Carnegie Hall’s Family Concert Series, they knew they had to bring them to town. Now, thanks to the Pederson’s support and that of other local residents, Union College is doing just that.

The Lascivious Biddies will perform free-of-charge on Monday, November 6 at 8:30 PM in the Conway Boatman Chapel on Union’s campus. This all-female cocktail pop quartet makes headlines for their energetic show that is full of humor, expert musicianship and a dash of sentimentality. The foursome consists of Saskia Lane on bass, Amanda Monaco on guitar, Lee Ann Westover on lead vocal, and Deidre Rodman on piano and melodica.

Blending jazz, pop and cabaret with four-part harmonies, The Lascivious Biddies have carried their fresh sound from coast to coast. They have performed at The Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, Birdland and in numerous theatres across the country. The Biddies and their music have been featured on The Food Network, The Discovery Channel and in a segment on CBS Evening News. They are also heard on local radio stations across America.

“The College is very pleased to bring The Lascivious Biddies to campus,” says Denise Wainscott, Vice President for Advancement at Union. The concert has been made possible by the generous support of the Barbourville Junior Woman’s Study Club; Anne and Paul Pederson; Evans, Mills & Warriner; and the Union College Cultural Events Committee, Student Development, Advancement and the President’s Office.
