Christmas Festival Scheduled for December 2

Union College will present the 2006 Christmas Festival on Saturday, December 2, at 8:00 p.m. The concert will be held in the Conway Boatman Chapel and is free and open to the public. The featured choirs are the UC Singers, Union Harmony, and the UC Regional Chorus. The Handbell Choir from First Baptist Church in London will participate as a special guest. A reception will immediately follow the concert in the atrium of the Sharp Academic Center. Music will include What Child is This?, Vivaldi’s Gloria in Excelsis, Sweet Little Jesus Boy, Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming, an audience sing along of familiar carols, plus much more. The concert is under the direction of Dr. V. Gay Gandy, Assistant Professor of Music. Ann Toadvine, staff accompanist, will serve as pianist and organist for the event.
