Hallerin Hilton Hill to Speak at Union’s Spring Convocation
Mr. Hallerin Hilton Hill will give the keynote address at Union College’s annual Spring Convocation on Thursday, January 11, at 9:30 AM. The event will take place at Union’s Conway Boatman Chapel.
Mr. Hill is the host of the popular Hallerin Hill Program, which airs weekday mornings on Knoxville’s Newstalk 100 WNOX. He also hosts a Sunday morning television talk show, Anything is Possible, on Knoxville’s NBC affiliate. Mr. Hill was recently named one of the “Top 100 Most Powerful People in Tennessee,” as well as one of the “Top 50 Most Powerful African-Americans in Tennessee” by Business Tennessee Magazine.
Mr. Hill’s talents also extend to the written word. He recently authored his first book, The Seven Pillars of Wisdom, and is a Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter. He co-wrote the song, “Who Would Imagine a King,” which was recorded by Whitney Houston for the movie The Preacher’s Wife. Other artists who have recorded songs written or co-written by Mr. Hill include Take 6, Virtue, Darwin Hobbs, Fred Hammond, T.D. Jake, Bishop Paul Morton, and Aretha Franklin.
Mr. Hill is a graduate of Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama where he studied communications. He and his wife, Nedra, have two children, Hallerin II and Halle Nicole. Mr. Hill is the CEO and founder of Wisdom House, a multimedia company focused on inspiring people around the world to grow in wisdom. He speaks to thousands of people each year to help inspire, motivate, and encourage excellence.
