Timeless Tales Tutoring and Children’s Art Programs Begin This Week

The Timeless Tales Tutoring Program and the Children’s Art Program open their doors this week for another semester of tutoring, homework help and creative expression.

Union College’s service office, the Office of Common Partners, coordinates both programs. Timeless Tales Tutoring gives one-on-one assistance to local children who need help with reading. Tutoring in math or other subjects is available as well. All tutoring is provided by trained student volunteers. The program is held in the Timeless Tales Reading Center, in Union’s library, Monday through Thursday from 3:30-5:30 pm.

The Children’s Art Program gives children the opportunity to experiment with a variety of art forms and mediums, with guidance from trained student volunteers. Children attend age-specific sessions held between Monday and Thursday from 5:30 – 7:00 pm. The program is located upstairs in the Center for Spirituality and Service on campus.

Both programs are free for local children. To enroll, contact Elise Ratterman for the Art Program at 546-1361. For Timeless Tales, call Renee Hobbs at 546-1337. More information about both programs is available at www.unionky.edu/Acad/CPO.
