Matthew Hampton Joins Union College Staff
Matthew Hampton, a Barbourville native, joined Union College as the Director of Human Resources on January 22. He comes to Union from the Butcher Law Offices in Williamsburg, where he served as a Law Clerk.
Matthew is a 1996 graduate of Barbourville High School. He furthered his education at Centre College, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Government, and at The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, where he earned his Jurist Doctorate.
Matthew brings experience in employer/employee relations, constitutional law, labor law and business law to his position at Union. In addition to the Butcher Law Offices, he has worked with the Administrative Office of the Courts under Circuit Judge Gregory Lay and the Offices of Butcher & Croley, P.S.C.
