Alumni and friends of Union College gathered on Tuesday, June 5 at Cliff Hagan Ribeye in Hazard. Roy Pulliam, a Union College trustee, and his wife, Phyllis, hosted the event.
During the meal, Union President Edward D. de Rosset and Dr. Lou Ann Hopper-de Rosset, Dean of Graduate Programs, spoke to guests about a variety of projects at the College. Dr. Hopper-de Rosset provided an update on the graduate program, which recently added a master’s degree in psychology. President de Rosset outlined the flurry of renovations currently taking place on campus, including a $4.2 million geothermal energy project. He also reported on the new Union College Honors Program, which provides up to full tuition for students through the recently established Sara W. and Bert T. Combs Honors Scholarship.
Union College is a private, liberal arts college located in Barbourville, Kentucky and related to the United Methodist Church.
