Several Union College alumni and friends enjoyed three gatherings in Michigan in May and June. Gatherings were held in Grand Rapids, South Haven, and Troy.

Grand Rapids alumni and friends enjoyed an outing at Bistro Bella Vita on May 31. The South Haven gathering was held on June 1 at Seawolf Restaurant, while the Troy group met at Charley’s Crab of Troy on June 2.

Each group shared conversation and a meal as Donnie Looper, Union’s Director of Development, spoke about a variety of projects at the College. Mr. Looper outlined several construction and renovation projects currently taking place on campus, including a $4.2 million geothermal energy project and improvements to key legacy buildings. He also reported on academic initiatives such as the newly established Honors Community and recently added majors and minors.

Aside from an informal update on the College, Michigan alumni and friends used the gatherings as an opportunity to share memories, socialize, and enjoy a great meal.

Union’s alumni and friends gather throughout the country to relive memories and hear the latest news from their alma mater. If you are interested in hosting a gathering or wish to know about upcoming get-togethers in your area, please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at 1-606-546-1226 or at fnewman@unionky.edu.
