Alumni and friends in the Washington, D.C. area had a chance to share memories and updates over a meal on July 25. They joined Donnie Looper, Union’s Director of Development, for an outing at Clyde’s at Mark Center in Alexandria.

Mr. Looper took the opportunity to share news of the flurry of renovations going on at the College this summer. The work has been so intense, particularly over the past year, that many are referring to a “renaissance” on campus. New sidewalks, window replacements, paint, landscaping, and a $4.2 million geothermal energy project all add up to a fresh look and feel to the campus and its grounds. The synthetic turf project and related Burch-Nau track & field renovation will produce another dramatic change once completed in the fall.

Union’s alumni and friends gather throughout the country to relive memories and hear the latest news from their alma mater. If you are interested in hosting a gathering or wish to know about upcoming get-togethers in your area, please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at 1-606-546-1226 or at fnewman@unionky.edu.
