Alumni and Friends Gatherings held in Louisville
Union College alumni and friends met for lunch at The Bristol on Main Street in downtown Louisville on June 13 during The Kentucky Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church held June 10-14. In addition, Union College young alumni and friends had the opportunity to meet at the home of Matt ’99 and Jessica (Terry) Bergman ’98 in New Albany, Indiana on August 10.
Over sixty Union College alumni and friends attended the luncheon at The Bristol. United Methodist Kentucky Annual Conference attendees were invited to participate in the event hosted by President Ed de Rosset, Denise Wainscott, vice president for advancement, and Rev. David Miller, campus minister.
President de Rosset spoke to the group about a variety of campus projects and the continuing growth of the College. President de Rosset focused on several construction and renovation projects on campus, including a $4.2 million geothermal energy project and improvements to key legacy buildings.
Denise Wainscott presented the newest members of Union’s Legacy Society, Earl and Barbara Trevor ’63, at the luncheon. The Legacy Society exists to recognize publicly those individuals who have named Union College in their estate plan.
Union’s alumni and friends gather throughout the country to relive memories and hear the latest news from their alma mater.
