Redbud Festival begins April 10

Union College will host the annual Redbud Trail Festival and Quilt Workshop April 10, 11 and 12. This is the fourth year of the festival and the third year the event has been hosted by Union.

The festival, primarily devoted to preserving the traditional Appalachian art of quilting, includes an array of family-friendly activities. In addition to quilting classes led by artists from several states, this year’s event also includes a book signing with over a dozen regional writers, a “Cooking with the Colonel” class on sauce-making, live music and a UNITE cookout.

Union College’s alumni affairs office will host a reception for alumni and friends as part of the festivities on Friday, April 11, 4:30-5:30, in Speed Hall.
