Union College Regional Chorus Spring Concert to feature Handel’s “Messiah”

Union College’s Regional Chorus will present its annual spring concert on Sunday, April 26, at 3:00 p.m. The performance will be held in Union’s Conway Boatman Chapel and is free and open to the public.

The featured work will be Handel’s “Messiah.” The chorus will perform the last two works from part two of the “Messiah” and all of part three, which culminates in the “Amen” chorus.

Gay Gandy, associate professor of music at Union, will conduct. Danny Phelps will serve as accompanist.

Membership of the Regional Chorus is principally drawn from musicians in Corbin, Barbourville, Williamsburg, Middlesboro and London, as well as from among Union students, staff, faculty and alumni.
