Earth Day Celebration to Feature Music and More

Union College in Barbourville will host the 40th-annual Earth Day Celebration on Thurs., April 22, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
 
The event will take place in the lower level of the Patridge Campus Center.
 
Guests will be treated to live music by Union’s Jim Garrett and Karl Wallhausser from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Booths will be set-up for the duration of the event so guests can learn about the work of regional organizations such as Pine Mountain Grotto, Cumberland Gap National Park, the Cave Research Foundation, P.R.I.D.E., and Union’s Appalachian Wilderness Club and Recreational Management program.
 
The event is organized by Union’s Common Partners program, which houses all service-learning activities at the college. The Earth Day Celebration is free and open to the public.
