Local Businesses Support Union College Scholarship Funds

Two local businesses made recent check presentations to Union College in support of scholarship funds.

Southeastern Kentucky Rehabilitation Industries (SEKRI) and Truseal Technologies have each contributed $5,000 for annual scholarships to Union students.

SEKRI’s donation will support need-based scholarships for Kentucky students in good academic standing. Truseal’s scholarship fund is for deserving students from Knox and surrounding counties.

Donations to scholarship funds at Union help the college provide aid to students based on academic performance and financial need. In 2009-2010, Union awarded $5.3 million in scholarships to its student body.
