Personal Education

Academics at Union are intensely personal. With an average teacher-student ratio of 12:1, you’ll have many opportunities to work 1:1 with your professors and interact with classmates. Our “big picture” approach to education will lead you to study many disciplines and see how they all connect to one another and why that matters. Instead of being told what to think, you’ll learn to speak your mind. Instead of accumulating facts, you’ll gain knowledge you can use now and in the future.

Union offers 32 majors and 29 minors that are built on a solid liberal arts core. During your four years with us, you’ll take up to 45 hours in liberal arts courses with classes in cultural studies, general sciences, humanities, mathematics, social and behavior sciences, and wellness.  Additionally, you’ll experience learning through service projects and will have opportunities to study abroad.  With your advisor’s assistance, you’ll chart your course and arrive where you want to be in four years.
