The Religious Studies program provides students the opportunity to learn about and understand how major world religions have contributed to the formation and maintenance of civilizations from the ancient world to the present. Students are also introduced to major world religions with roots in ancient civilizations and how those contributed to the stability of modern forms of civilization. Students study Christianity, Islam, and may have opportunities to study religions of East Asia (Confucianism and Taoism) and South Asia (Hinduism and Buddhism).
