The Richland Institute will host Professional Learning Workshops for teachers on June 16-18 on the campus of Union College in Barbourville, Ky. The workshops have been approved for EILA credit.
The three-day conference will provide educators and other interested parties with tools needed to meaningfully incorporate the arts and humanities into other content areas.
The Richland Institute is offering workshops for integration, along with ready-to-use lesson plans that are fully aligned with the Kentucky Core Academic Standards and English and Language Arts classes. Participants will also receive resources and learn techniques for creating their own integrated plans.
The Richland Institute for Professional Learning is the result of partnership between Union College’s Educational Studies Unit and the Knox Arts, Crafts and Humanities Council..
For the convenience of participants who need childcare, the Kids College Art Camp - sponsored by the Knox Arts, Crafts and Humanities Council, is scheduled to coincide with the Richland Institute.
