The Residence Life team are a group of current students and staff from a diverse group of majors and hometowns who work with in the residence halls and serve as a representative for the residential the student body. When you live on campus a Residence Life Team member will be in your area to ensure you are having a fun, postive, and safe experience in our residence halls. They provide programming and activities, a welcoming environment, and are available to you at a moment's notice.

I have been at Union College for three years studying to major in Accounting and Business. In this time, I have become very involved in campus. I am a part of the Honor’s Community, a Common Partner, and Supplemental Instructor. Also, I helped to establish a new club called the Union College Social Players Guild. I am currently the President of this club, whose mission is to bring fun times to Union College Students. In my time at Union College, I have grown to love my position as a Resident Assistant. Through this position, I do the same things as my other activities. I get to plan events for students to have a fun time, and encourage all the residents to respect one another. |

Joseph BrownOld Pfeiffer first floor RAMy name is Joseph Brown, I’m a local student from right outside of Barbourville. I’m a junior in college majoring in Recreation Management and two minors in Leadership and Management. I am a Spiritual Life mentor and intern along with being an officer in the Union College Social Players' Guild. I became an RA for many reasons like helping to promote a healthy residence hall environment by helping make sure everyone can get along. Other than that as an RA i get to meet many new people and make tons of new friends. Being an RA helped me to also come out of my shell and made me talk to people that i would have never talked to without being an RA. |

I am a part of the Spiritual Life Mentor program we have here at Union College. I am also a part of the Residence Life family here at Union College as a Resident Assistant. This is my second year in this position and I enjoy the different programs that are available. We have many different opportunities for Resident Assistants to get involved with students. This is the main reason I decided to rejoin the Residence Life family for my senior year of college. In my opportunities afforded by the residence life position here at Union College I get to enjoy the involvement of other students and see their development through their college life first hand. This has personally been a rewarding experience for me and I have learned a lot about myself through these experiences. I am also the Senior Intern of the Common Partners Service Program as well as the second year acting Congress Representative of Union College's Bonner Scholars Program. I will graduate this May, 2013 with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics. I am excited to see what the future has in store for me after Union. I'm a senior on the cross country team and this is my tenth year running cross country. I work in the writing center on campus because I like to help people improve on their writing skills and helping other people to better themselves is an awesome feeling! I am a member of the wilderness club because I like to get outdoors and have fun! Music is one of my passions and I'm a member of the Regional Chorus this semester, as well as having participated with the UC Singers and Union Harmony in the past. Being an RA is a great experience because I really get to interact with the student life on campus. Organizing programs, keeping in touch with residence, and being here to help the campus community has really helped me to grow as a student and as a person. This is an episode in my life that I will not soon forget. I've made so many friends and continue to make great memories on campus. |

I'm on the golf team, a spiritual life intern/ mentor, and a member of the psychology club. I enjoy being an RA because of all the new people I get to meet every year. In high school I was very timid, and making friends was tough for me. Being an RA has opened me up to new people and opportunities. Without RA I wouldn't be the man I am today.
