Hello! I am Rafael and I am from Campinas, Brazil and I am also an Union College alumnus (BS ’04, MA ’06). In addition to being a Hall Director (HD), I am also the Head Men’s and Women’s Swimming Coach. I enjoy being a HD because it gives me a chance to meet many students and to help provide them with a positive experience in our residence halls.

I recently graduated from Union with my Masters in education and I also have a bachelors degree in the same field. In addition to being your hall director I am also the Head Men's and Women's golf coach here at the college. In my time here I have been a tutor and instructor on top of my other duties and this gives me a unique advantage when it comes to helping you because I have seen situations from all sides. I take pride in my job as a Hall Director and I want you to have the best campus experience so if you need anything feel free to come and knock on my door so I can help you.
My name is Patrick O’Neal and I am from Lula, Georgia. I am currently the hall director for Pfeiffer Hall and director of strength and conditioning for all sports at Union. I am a graduate of Union College and four time letter winner in football. I have always enjoyed helping others and being a part of residence life lets me see the athlete’s in a normal setting. This gives me insight to who they are and allows me to impact their lives other than the weight room.
My name is Daniel Greene but everyone calls me Big Dan.
I'm from Summit, KY I am now a senior and a double major in psychology and sociology. I'm on the golf team, a spiritual life intern/ mentor, and a member of the psychology club. I enjoy being an RA because of all the new people I get to meet every year. In high school I was very timid, and making friends was tough for me. Being an RA has opened me up to new people and opportunities. Without RA I wouldn't be the man I am today.
My name is C.J. Brown I am from Hinesville, Georgia. I am a new member of the Residence Life Staff here at Union College this year. Being an RA this year is going to be a great new experience, as well as a great opportunity to learn about all the new students that I will be looking after this year. Also, it allows me to be a person that they can come to in times of need regardless of what the situation is. I am looking forward to a great year.
Hello, my name is Caleb Spurlock. This is my third year working with Residence Life. I am from Dayton, Ohio. I have been at Union College for three years studying to major in Accounting and Business. In my time at Union College, I have grown to love my position as a Resident Assistant. Through this position, I do the same things as my other activities. I get to plan events for students to have a fun time, and encourage all the residents to respect one another.

Hello, my name is Chad Gwinn, and I’m the Hall Director for Union Courts and the Manchester Street areas. I am from New Carlisle, Ohio and I came to Union in the spring of 2013 to be the Assistant Cross Country and Track & Field Coach. During this time I found myself seeking to become part of the Residence Life Staff. I feel that this allows me to get to know students who are not athletes and learn more about those who are. I’m excited to have this opportunity to work with all students and cannot wait to see the relationships and experiences that will come from it. Though I have only been in Barbourville for a short time, this place already feels like home.
