Dr. David Williams came to Union College in January, 2018 and has already made great strides for the Department of Online and Graduate Studies.

Dr. Williams received his Bachelor of Arts degree at Emory & Henry College in Emory VA, before going on to earn his MBA From Vanderbilt University and his Doctorate of Business Administration from University of Phoenix in Phoenix AZ. Dr. Williams also holds a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Forensic Accounting.

His publishing credentials include the books Casino Gaming Methods: Games Probabilities and Controls (Pearson); Your Career and the 7 Deadly Sins (Career & Faith); a series of textbook chapters; and journal articles included in: The International Journal of Business and Public Administration, Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Education, Gaming Law Review and Economics, and Journal of Consumer Satisfaction D/CB.

Dr. Williams previously served as Associate Professor of Business and MBA Program Director at Lincoln Memorial University. Prior to LMU, he held the position of Director of Executive Programs and Professor of Management at University of the Cumberlands.

Before discovering his passion in higher education, Dr. Williams held increasingly responsible positions in the hospitality industry, including chief operating officer, vice president of operations, and general manager.

As the Dean of Online and Graduate Studies, Dr. Williams looks forward to growing the program by advancing online course development and building business partnerships.
