Maya Angelou

Union College presents Maya Angelou: And Still I Rise with co-directors Bob Hercules and Rita Coburn Whack as part of the South Arts Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers at Union’s Rector Little Theatre on Thursday, March 16 at 7 p.m. Following a screening of the film, the filmmakers will be in attendance for a discussion about the film and their work with the audience. The event is free and open to the public, but due to limited seating reservations are encouraged by emailing uarts@unionky.edu.

Perspectives on Appalachia

Union College will be hosting renowned Appalachian historian and professor Dr. William Turner for a presentation on February 28 at 7 p.m. Dr. Turner is appearing through a partnership between Union’s Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences and the Educational Studies Unit. The event is free and open to the entire Union College community.

Mind Game

Union College presents Mind/Game: The Unquiet Journey of Chamique Holdsclaw with director, producer, and editor Rick Goldsmith as part of the South Arts Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers in Union’s Rector Little Theatre on Thursday, February 9 at 7 p.m. Following a screening of the film, the filmmaker will engage the audience in a discussion about the film and his work. The event is free and open to the public, but due to limited seating reservations are encouraged by emailing uarts@unionky.edu.
