Graduate Program Continues to Grow With Addition of Managerial Accounting

The Union College Division of Online and Graduate Studies is proud to add its Master of Science in Managerial Accounting .

The Master of Science in Managerial Accounting (MS ACTG) , which is set to begin Jan. 2020, is designed to target the needs of graduate students pursuing Managerial Accounting education for employment in Managerial Accounting across a variety of industries. 

“We designed this program to help students prepare for the Certified Managerial Accountant (CMA) exam and the graduate level accounting hours also help students meet the requirement to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam,” says Dr. David Williams, Dean for the School of Professional and Graduate Studies.

“I believe this program is replete with the skills needed for success in the field of Managerial Accounting,” adds Dr. Carolyn Payne, Professor of Accounting.

The Union College Master of Science in Managerial Accounting is a 30-hour (10 course) program that follows Union’s standard online course model. Classes are completed on convenient eight-week schedules, and can be completed in less than two years. The Program of coursework includes 12-hours of core management coursework and 18-hours of discipline specific accounting coursework.Courses range from Operational Auditing and Risk Management to Corporate Finance for Accounting.

Union College’s 10-course MBA, Master’s in Administration, Master’s in Healthcare Administration, Master’s in Information Systems Management, Master’s in Athletic Administration and Masters in Digital Marketing and Communications Management programs can be completed in five terms. Union College also offers fully-online undergraduate programs in Business, Management, Law Enforcement, and Substance Abuse Counseling. All of Union College’s online programs are asynchronous and offered in 8-week courses with multiple admission dates throughout the year.
