Hiles earns spot on CoSIDA Academic All-America TeamUnion College defender Morgan Hiles was named to the 2015 CoSIDA Academic All-America® College Division women's soccer team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, marking only the second time a Union women's soccer player has received the honor.

Hiles earned a spot on the second team and is the first Bulldog to make the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team since 2011 when Nikki Jeck landed on the third team.

The College Division is made of NAIA, junior colleges and Canadian colleges and universities.

To be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior with a minimum 3.30 grade-point average and participate in at least 50 percent of their team's games.

A human performance major, Hiles has started in 71 of the Bulldogs 72 matches over her four-year career. She was named to the All-AAC Third Team as a sophomore in 2013. Hiles has one career assist that came in a Union 4-1 win over St. Andrews on Oct. 26, 2013.

She helped Union to a 12-5-3 record this season and to the semifinal round of the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament for the first time since 2012. Hiles helped the Bulldog defense record three shutouts and allow 30 goals for a 1.5 goals-against average.

Hiles is also a member of the 2015 Academic All-AAC Team.
