Union College students who couldn't make it home for Thanksgiving still experienced the hoilday with their extended family and friends.

More than 50 students, who were still on campus Thursday, were provided with a traditional Thanksgiving dinner and discovered the true meaning of Thanksgiving.

Campus Life organized the event because they knew many students wouldn't be able to make a trip home for the short break.

"We are a big family here at Union, so it only makes sense to spend the day with your  family," says Fernanda Frey, Assistant Director of Campus Life.

Faculty, staff, along with Union College trustee Jane Skidmore, donated food for the event.

"I would like to thank everyone who donated to help make this happen. It was a success!"
