Union College Theatre to hold auditions

Union College would like to extend an invitation to community members interested in theatre. Union College Theatre is looking to fill several female roles for the upcoming production of ‘The Effect of Gamma Rays on the Man-In-The-Moon Marigolds,’ the Pulitzer Prize winning play by Paul Zindel.

Actresses are needed to play the he following roles:

Beatrice- frowzy, acid-tongued mother

Ruth- highly strung daughter, subject to convulsions

Tillie- shy younger daughter who wins the high school science fair

Janice Vickery- a rival science fair competitor

Nanny- a mute, old lady who boards with the family  

All types, ages and ethnicities are encouraged to attend the auditions and no previous experience is necessary. The audition will consist of cold readings from the script. 

Anyone interested can audition at the Union College Rector Little Theatre (located behind the Chapel in the Fine Arts Building) Tuesday, Sept. 18 and Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 7:00 pm.

Production dates are Nov.1,2,3 at 8:00 pm and Nov, 4 at 2:00 pm.
