New Athletic Sponsorship Program to Elevate Bulldog Athletics

Union Commonwealth University is proud to announce the launch of a new corporate sponsorship initiative to support its storied athletic program and deepen partnerships with businesses across the region. The sponsorship program offers multi-tiered opportunities for companies to align their brand with Union Athletics, which boasts over 120 years of competitive tradition, 18 varsity sports, national and conference championships, and hundreds of student-athletes who represent the university with pride.

“Sponsoring Union Athletics is more than just advertising — it’s a partnership that fuels our student-athletes' success on the field, in the classroom, and in the community,” said Clay Butler, Vice President of Athletics. “This program creates meaningful exposure for our partners while directly supporting the resources that help our teams thrive.”

Sponsorship levels range from $2,500 to $10,000 annually and include benefits such as scoreboard ads, social media recognition, website presence, game day mentions, player of the game sponsorships, and exclusive opportunities during high-visibility events like Homecoming and the Presidential Inauguration Weekend. Businesses can choose tailored packages that align with specific sports or moments — including the Coaches Show, Student Section giveaways, or halftime promotions — ensuring maximum relevance and impact.

With robust fan attendance at venues like Williamson Stadium, Robsion Arena, and Union’s baseball and softball complexes, sponsors receive consistent exposure throughout the academic year, not only during athletic contests but also community and campus events.
